Moorabinda Lodge is superbly positioned facing east with incredible views across the Yarra Valley and Great Dividing Range where guests can enjoy incredible sunrise and sunsets each day.
Privately situated at the top of a rolling 9 acre field the house is surrounded by lawns and mature trees. Abundant birdlife and pair of resident wedge tail eagles contribute to the country feel.
The property was designed by well known Australian architect, Robin Boyd in 1962 for the owners of Coonara Springs, Mr and Mrs Bankin. They built the house for their retirement, and lived there for 30 years whilst running the restaurant next door.
Renovated in 2015, the property retains all the character and history of a traditional Robin Boyd house, with the modern conveniences of a luxury retreat.
Guests have the choice of eating in (breakfast supplied) or the convenience of strolling next door to eat at the restaurant (lunch and dinner).
